Unless you have been living in a deep cave, you have undoubtedly seen the infomercials touting the Power 90X workout system. It's the ninety day plan that claims it will get you into the best shape of your life. I've been through the program. I know what it can do for you. Below are my experiences and feelings about the course.
First of all, you need to be in pretty good shape to even begin this advanced workout plan. Most of the workouts last somewhere around and hour so be prepared. That said, the workouts are fun and the instructor, Tony Horton, keeps you motivated.
Power 90X is not just a workout plan but an overall health plan. By that I mean you also get instruction in nutrition and other aspects of taking care of your body. The way the plan works is by basically changing up your workout routines every so often so that your muscles can never get used to the way you are exercising them. This keep you from reaching a plateau in your development. Your muscles are always having to work hard to get through the current exercises.
There are twelve different sessions included in the series. Some concentrated on specific areas like the chest or back. Others like the yoga session or stretching give you an overall workout. Tony keeps you going even on those days when you are dragging.
I enjoyed going through the ninety days. I plan on going through it again. If you are committed to this plan, it will give you good results and get you into the best shape you have been in in years.
